Working Another 9-5!

Hi guys! Let me explain my absence really quick and then I’ll talk about my decision to shift from working two part-time jobs to one-full time job!

I started at my new job this past Monday *woot woot* and I knew that I needed to make this transition as smooth as possible so I made an agreement with myself to put off blogging for the week. My first week went great, I’m in a good frame of mind and I’m ready to reincorporate blogging!

Yesterday, I spent hours dwelling on what to write. I often dwell on what to write… And decided that, again, I have to just write what comes naturally. For me, that means writing about what I want to write about, not necessarily what Pinterest says I should be writing about.

So, in the coming weeks expect a few posts about body positivity, nutrition, social media, adulting, college stuff, apartment hunting. These are all just ideas I have floating around in my head, ready to be put out into the world!

Alright, let’s take a hard left and talk about why I’m working full-time again. If you’ve been here awhile you know that I have problems over working myself. I tend to over-commit and then spontaneously combust when I can’t do all of the things I promised.

This summer, I made the decision to not take any classes and work one part-time job. That turned into me working one regular part-time job four days a week and occasionally I worked a second part-time job, maybe once every other week. Honestly, I was just really bored.

I also spoke with a recruiter type person at a bank and they told me that even with my degree I would need six months of some kind of bank experience before I could get a job, even as a teller, with their company. So, I applied at a bank, got a job, and now I work full-time.

Also, it was in both Eduardo and my best interest that I leave my job as a tech. We had the same job, and for him to move up (which he wants to do because IT is kind of his thing) it would just be better if I wasn’t there so there is no conflict of interests. And it’s about time I got a job in my own field.
