Where do we start? With her Disney Channel days? I wasn’t a huge fan of the Disney era Selena Gomez. Actually, I largely mocked Selena Gomez and if you were a critic like I was you remember her first live performances and how utterly horrible they were…
Yikes.
Selena Gomez’ albums used to be full of poppy autotuned choruses… But with the release of Revival in 2015 I was filling out an application to be in the Selena Gomez fan club.
Everything about that album felt real and solid and emotional… And then she did a few live performances and they were phenomenal. I fell in love with Selena Gomez, as a person, as a singer, as a public figure. I loved everything about her. I listened to Revival on repeat, triplepeat, quadruplepeat.
Recently, she released the song Bad Liar (that link is just the YouTube audio, you can watch the video via Spotify!) and I. Am. Obsessed. If you haven’t given it a listen, I definitely recommend you do!
